Character's Name: Nova
Character's Sex: Female
Character's Age: 14
Canon point: In the Midst of Season 2
Abilities:
Nova is able to form two light swords that she can combine together, in order to form a new weapon. When they’re separate she wields it just like you would a regular sword. When they are together she’s able to throw it, but it will arc and return back to her. She is also able to use the same fire powers as Hikaru Shidou, this is due to the fact that she is a part of Hikaru. A piece of the girl’s heart that was left behind when the Magic Knights tearfully slayed Princess Emeraude. Also due to her connection with Hikaru she is able to tap into Hikaru’s feelings and emotions. Nova also is able to summon her own mashin but it’s not sentient like the actual Mashins. Another one of Nova’s abilities is the ability to float, and teleport. Like her counterpart, Nova is very agile and able to maneuver smoothly.
Flame Arrow - Like the name implies, once the incantation is spoken an arrow of flame shoots out from the caster and towards their opponent.
Ruby Lightning - This is a more powerful attack than the first and it also is fairly self explanatory.
Strengths:
Nova possesses a few powerful attacks and weapons at her disposal. She also had the added advantage of knowing what her opponent was thinking in her own world, a power that will not be useful to her in Star. Her light swords are adaptable to various situations and her ability to teleport is a decided advantage in most sorts of battles. If things ever started to turn sour, Nova usually lost interest and retreated until another opportunity presented itself. Her agility and general nimbleness is another evasive strength of hers. If she was ever in dire straights she could also ask for help from Lady Debonair but that is another source of strength that she will be cut off from.
Weaknesses:
Nova is a very flighty and unsure character. Her interests can wane swiftly if things aren’t going her way and this affects her in battle too. She’s fairly unstable in general, and when she loses confidence in herself her powers can decrease. She’s not used to losing, not entirely so any little setback, any blow the enemy manages to land shakes her up more than it would a seasoned fighter. She is easily mislead in her desire to belong, in her quest for love and acceptance. Poor judgment is one of her greatest weaknesses. In the game setting Nova will also be stripped of her mecha, and her one stabilizing factor Lady Debonair. Another significant weakness is simply that she isn’t a whole person. In form she may look complete but she is just a portion of someone’s heart, a part that she believes was abandoned and cast away. She’s also not too fond of herself and needs that boost from others to keep her going.

Personality:
Nova is fairly unstable and very insecure. This stems from the way in which she was created. The first time the Magic Knights were summoned to Cephiro, they believed it was for the purpose of saving Princess Emeraude and in turn saving the world itself. When the girls learned the truth, that they were there to kill Princess Emeraude instead, it was difficult for any of them to accept. In that moment, when Emeraude was defeated, regret and self loathing entered the Magic Knight of fire’s heart, and that piece of her heart remained in Cephiro when the girls returned to Tokyo. Alone, and believing she had been abandoned, this piece of Hikaru’s heart turned into Nova, a warped being who was almost the mirror opposite of the girl she originated from. Nova is vindictive, cruel, and brutal towards those that Hikaru loves. Misguided by Lady Debonair nova believes the only way that she can be with Hikaru is to kill everyone that the fire knight cares about.
Added to that, Nova loves Hikaru in her own demented way and is very possessive of her, getting jealous when other people are able to spend more time with her. Unfortunately, Nova’s brand of play is fighting, maiming, and injuring others including the one she allegedly loves. She’s not above cackling with glee when things are going her way. Mood wise she is able to shift nearly on a dime, sometimes she’ll be pleased with the proceedings then she swiftly angers when no one admits that she has the upper hand. She wants to be understood, she wants to be loved, but she is terrible at conveying that and comes across more as a psychopath. As the series progresses you learn precisely why she has this vendetta against Hikaru’s loved ones, it was because when Emeraude and Zagato were destroyed Hikaru had thought how sad it was that they could only be together in death and not during theirs lives. This ideal had twisted in Nova’s mind to make her think that she was actually doing Hikaru a favor, that if she killed everyone, Hikaru could finally be together with all of them forever.
Nova isn’t pure evil in this regard, just very very misguided, and not easily dissuaded. She does not tend to listen to reason, and hates being preached at. She’s set in her ways and determined to accomplish what she’s set out to do. There is another side to her, beyond the smug, sadist side she usually projects and that’s the childlike side. Nova can be quite naïve, and needs reassurance from Lady Debonair sometimes whom she does call Mother Debonair. She has her own fears of rejection and most of all isolation. Remembering how she felt when she was alone.. Makes her never want to be entirely alone again. It was a dark and lonely place where she originated.
Nova is also fairly inquisitive when she feels like it, sometimes her short attention span causes her to lose that interest just as rapidly as it began. There is still much she needs to learn about life and people in general. In that regard she is like a young child, but her malicious intentions and enjoyment of making others suffer makes her far from completely innocent. Concepts like love and friendship are things she does not really understand.

Where is she? You can't hide her from me forever. Where is Hikaru!?
[A childlike voice flooded onto the feed. The video only caught snatches of a wispy figure as she glided around the city.]
I- can't feel her anywhere.
[A touch of panic was filtering into the voice.]
Mother either.
If you would just let me explain, Kupo! [A moogle panted trying to catch it's breath. Finally coming to a halt the populace could get a better glimpse of the latest arrival. Her long pink hair billowed out behind her, her features were innocent enough, she was wearing a body suit and armor. Her strangest feature might have been her pointed elfen-like ears.]
Where are they? [She repeated.] I- I don't want to be alone.. not ... not again..
[Nova's voice turned thready as if she might start crying. Then without warning she turned on the moogle and drew a light blade out of seemingly thin air]
Take me to her, NOW! Take me to Hikaru!
RP Sample:
After threatening a moogle, Nova still hadn't learned much of anything. The creature had fled, leaving a few items for her that had just been placed on the ground. The unusual coloration of the munny was enough to distract the volatile girl for the time being.
"What's this?" She mouthed to herself, her eyes growing wide as she kneeled to investigate the assortment of items. Munny, a box like thing with buttons you could push, and a key. But what was the key for? She was tempted to leave it all behind but... she snapped them up anyway.
Taking on a slower pace than before, Nova walked along while tilting and turning the communicator to either side. "What is this supposed to be...?" It was a wonder that she didn't start recording something with the way she started to randomly press buttons.
The object wasn't able to hold her interest long as she tossed it to the side.
Desiring to return to the only home she'd ever known, Nova tried to teleport back to Lady Debonair's lair but to no avail. "Mother please.... " She clutched onto her shoulders and leaned forward. "I can do better! Please!"
"Let me come back! I'll show you, I'll show everyone! I won't let those Magic Knights get away again!" But no matter what she said she was never able to return. Sinking to the ground, Nova curled into a tight ball, not caring who might have been watching. Abandoned, alone again... what did it matter. What did anything matter. If anyone knew what was good for them, they wouldn't approach her in this state, not when she was tempted to vent her frustrations in the most violent of manners.
